Lothersdale school applied for a grant from us in May 2026. They wanted to purchase a subscription to Music Express which provides quality and engaging music lessons. Gisburn Road School applied for a grant from us in June 2026. They requested funding to go towards a STEM science workshop for year 6 to learn about electricity. This increases children's awareness and knowledge of possible careers within the industry.

St Michael + All Angels School in Foulridge applied for a grant from us in April 2026. They hired a drama group (Freshwater Theatre Group), to put on a workshop of the great Fire of London. Year 1 were involved in an interactive learning experience which is enjoyable and helps children retain the information better.

We are slowly working towards our target of £40,000 to completely refurbish the Grammar School roof, we have now reached £31,500. So far we have been awarded 2 grants, £2,000 from Earby Clarets and £5,000 from the Duchy of Lancaster. The rest is our own fundraising from the café and shop takings.
