Pendle & Craven Croquet Club - Indoor Equipment

It's not often that the Foundation gets a chance to grant money for pioneering new sports equipment, but that's exactly what happened when Pendle & Craven Croquet Club got in touch with us in October 2025

They were struggling to find indoor hoops for a Wellbeing project they wanted to run over the winter at Earby Community Centre. They had been gifted the mats but our grant of £200 was instrumental in designing a set of brand new, freestanding hoops, which were also manufactured right here in Earby! 

As you can see, the hoops were a hit (sometimes literally!) with the participants, who loved the fact that they could carry on with their croquet, regardless of the wintery weather outside.

Croquet For Wellbeing starts in Earby on Monday 16th March 2026 at 1.30pm. It's free and funded by NHS, although you have to come via referral from your GP, Mental Health Nurse or Social Prescriber. If you have any queries please email C4Wpendle@gmail.com
